OUR STORY

On the 27th of December 2014 One Heart City Church  started without having a proper building to hold our fellowships and services. Our church started with 9 families and was registered with the Chambers of commerce on the 25th of February the following year. Church service was mostly held in Manalo’s residence for months and finally God has provided its church, Bertram Community Centre to be our home in the past  8 years,  where numbers  continued to grow and  as members become spiritually mature.

With God’s grace and abundance of guidance poured into our church, OHCC has become our spiritual family. And Like any other family, OHCC faced struggles, challenges and conflicts. Despite this, we held on  to our faith and the promises of our Father. These challenges only strengthen our relationship with one another and has transformed us to be a better version of our old selves.  OHCC has grown full of love and developed intimate relationship with our creator. Our Father has used these challenges to give  us the opportunity to grow and be an effective supporting ligament that continues to serve with

gladness.

When 2020 came, COVID 19 happened and became a global problem up to this very day. It’s undeniable that this pandemic affected us all in every possible way and it has indeed greatly influenced churches. During this unprecedented times , we were able to take actions to adapt and resolve  the situation through live streaming and with that, we were not only reaching out to people locally but throughout the world.

OUR MISSION

At One Heart City Church Inc., we are a caring, Christ-centred community dedicated to sharing the love of God and guiding people into a personal relationship with Him. We believe that every individual, regardless of race, background, or life circumstances, is valued and called to experience the transforming power of Jesus Christ and the blessings of His Kingdom.

Our mission is rooted in the Great Commission, as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ: to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey His Word. We are committed to living out this calling by equipping, encouraging, and empowering every member of our church to grow in faith, serve others, and impact the world around them.

Through worship, teaching, community outreach, and intentional discipleship, we aim to create an environment where lives are transformed, hope is restored, and the love of Christ is made visible in practical and meaningful ways. At One Heart City Church, we strive to see individuals and families experience the fullness of God’s Kingdom while making a lasting difference in our city and beyond.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20, NIV)

OUR VISION

At the Heart of Everything We Do

The vision of One Heart City Church Inc. is to be a Christ-centred community that joyfully celebrates and cultivates opportunities to connect people—with Christ, with one another, and with the wider community. We are especially committed to reaching those who have not traditionally engaged with the church, welcoming all into a covenant relationship with Jesus and guiding them in discipleship.

We envision a church where people of all ages are connected to meaningful ministries, with a particular focus on youth and young adults. We aim to foster spiritual friendships that nurture growth, honor each person’s current level of involvement in God’s mission, and provide opportunities to deepen their participation through the means of grace.

Our vision extends beyond the church walls, seeking to engage with a changing and diverse community, particularly those who are marginalized, learning together how the Holy Spirit is calling us to serve and transform lives.

We see a world where unreached people come to trust in Christ, grow as disciples, and rise as leaders, missionaries, and pastors. We envision formerly unreached communities reaching others who have yet to hear the gospel, churches being planted in every corner of the earth where Christ is cherished, His Word faithfully taught by well-trained indigenous pastors, and lives being powerfully transformed by God.

Ultimately, we seek to see nations and communities overturned by the love of Christ, experiencing wonders so extraordinary they cannot be explained, fulfilling God’s promise and power in ways that echo the prophetic words:

“Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.” (Habakkuk 1:5, NIV)

Articles of Faith

Our Articles of Faith

At One Heart City Church Inc., our faith is grounded in the authority of God’s Word and the life-transforming power of Jesus Christ. The following Articles of Faith summarize the essential beliefs that guide our teaching, worship, fellowship, and mission:

1. The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme guide for faith and life, revealing God’s will and the truth of His salvation through Jesus Christ.

2. God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is infinite, all-powerful, all-knowing, and perfectly holy, yet merciful and loving toward His creation.

3. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for the sins of humanity, and was resurrected on the third day. Through Him alone we are offered forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and eternal life.

4. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s presence in the world and in the believer, guiding, comforting, and empowering us for holy living, service, and effective witness.

5. Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. It cannot be earned by works but is available to all who repent of sin and trust in Christ as Lord and Savior.

6. The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, nurture believers, proclaim the gospel, and serve the world. Every believer is part of the Church and is called to use their gifts for the building up of God’s Kingdom.

7. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe in the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper as acts of obedience that symbolize God’s grace and the believer’s faith. Baptism is an outward declaration of inward transformation, and the Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and a celebration of His presence.

8. The Return of Christ
We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will judge the living and the dead, bringing ultimate justice, restoring all things, and establishing God’s eternal Kingdom.

9. Eternal Life
We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, and eternal life. Believers will enjoy everlasting fellowship with God, while those who reject Him will experience separation from His presence.

10. Mission and Discipleship
We believe every believer is called to participate in God’s mission, making disciples of all nations, living out their faith in love, and serving others as Christ has commanded.
